AERATION SYSTEM
Silos, especially grains storage silos, must be equipped with inner ventilation system to retain the grains quality and health. In the flat bottom silos, the air flow enters the silo through the channels built into the foundation of the silo floor and exits through the ventilation valves installed on the roof. Axial or centrifugal fans are used in conical floor silos to achieve the right temperature and humidity. A mesh component should be installed for optimum distribution of air flow; otherwise, the fan performance will deteriorate, decreasing the ventilation efficiency.
