CONIC BOTTOM SILOS

Conical bottom silos are used for various purposes. These silos are exploited for grain storage, poultry and livestock feed, soil, and mines and petrochemicals granule material. The main advantages of the conical bottom silos over the flat bottom ones are decrease in unloading equipment and increase in the process speed, decreasing the operational costs. These silos are offered in various capacities with the diameter ranging from 3.66 meters to 10.97 meters with a capacity of 1500 tons. In the animal feed industry, conical floor silos are used with a funnel angle of 40 and 50 degrees for dry grains and with a funnel angle of 60 degrees for wet or oily grains. The strength of the conical bottom silo hopper is vital to increase its lifespan. For this reason, hopper panels are produced from galvanized steel sheet with appropriate thicknesses. Special design and structure of the steel piles in the conical part facilitate the installation and operation of the transportation equipment. Also, to complete the storage process, some accessories could be installed such as ladders inside and outside the silo along with landings, aeration system and a vibrating discharge device for oily or wet seeds.
